A career spanning executive positions in marketing & advertising, research and media provides Mel Stevens with a unique perspective and background to contribute to multiple needs of the group.  

Category experience covers CPG, QSR, Convenience Retail, Automotive, Tobacco and Real Estate for both the advertising agency and research sides of business.  Specialties include branding & identity, strategic positioning and planning, negotiations, analytical skills, database development and insights, and public relations.     

A 360-degree Perspective 

Mel spent close to half of her career with major agencies (among them Leo Burnett and DDB) leading strategic media planning and execution for clients such as General Mills, McDonald’s, Brown & Williamson, and Midas International. 

On the research side Mel worked with Information Resources heading media and test marketing activity for major packaged goods companies, product development and management for media related services, and IRI’s coupon database. During her tenure at IRI she also lead the award winning “How Advertising Works” Study contributing to both development and analysis.  She also was Research Director for two couponing ventures – Save.com and Gamut Interactive – both focusing on CPG clients.    

More recently Mel spent seven years with Winsight, LLC in Marketing & Retailer Relations.     

As part of the Business Accelerator team Mel has contributed to research studies and analysis, client needs relative to public relations and and various support functions that drive success for BATeam and their clients.  

Mel graduated from Indiana University and lives in Scottsdale, Arizona.
