Suzye has a diverse background in public relations, marketing and sales. She worked in hospitality, insurance and high tech prior to devoting time toward freelance efforts that helped several start-ups and nonprofits.

Suzye values strategic planning, carefully crafted messaging and cultivating relationships through a customer-centric mindset.

A Unique Background Focused on Results

Suzye was recruited by Westin Hotels & Resorts premier Marketing Management Training Program in 1990 and placed at the William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA. It was there that she worked all aspects of the hotel, including their food & beverage department in a variety of capacities. Eventually settling into catering and convention services, Suzye later applied her sales and human resources training at Westin to the world of employee benefits when she relocated home to Phoenix. Another move to Portland, OR allowed her to combine her journalism training with her previous experience at one of Portland’s premier high-tech public relations and advertising agencies where she honed her skills in messaging, news release development, product launches and B2B media relations.

It was in the nonprofit sector that Suzye shared her passion for a variety of causes, both at the board level and in a development role, where she added the art of grant writing to her skillset. Suzye is passionate about improving the lives of children and spent many years on the board of an organization that gifts underprivileged children camp experiences. Her love for camp, and her desire for her son who has severe food allergies to have a camp experience, led her to spend many summers working at a camp on the coast of Oregon as writer and camp store manager. It was at camp that Suzye received a cursory education into food service distribution, shedding light onto some of the obstacles she encountered to obtain specialty food products for her son.

Suzye is thrilled to apply her attention to detail toward Business Accelerator Team’s vision for providing exceptional thought leadership to its clients. She holds a degree in Journalism with a minor in Marketing from the University of Arizona.
